Virginia L. Laughlin

Virginia "Jinny" Lay Laughlin was born and grew up in Rocky Ford, Colorado. She met her husband-to-be, Claude, in Junior High and they married in March of 1943. During her life Jinny was very involved with numerous clubs and activities and served in various capacitates. She was a China painter, a gourmet cook and a seamstress. Jinny was a member of the DAR. She had a great love of life and will be dearly missed, she was a wonderful mom. Jinny is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 72 years, Claude J. Laughlin, Jr.; 2 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her daughter, Lyn Joseph and husband, Duke; daughter, Jill L. Laughlin and niece, Karen Todd. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Porter Loring North. SERVICE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2015 10:00 A.M. PORTER LORING NORTH CHAPEL 2102 NORTH LOOP 1604 EAST (Reception to follow) LTC Joseph "Jody" Warren will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Lighthouse for the Blind or a charity of your choice.
