BOSTON, Vivian Hilda (Kristiansen)
1933 – 2018
Vivian Boston passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 17, 2018 at the age of 84. She was born in Arrowwood, Alberta to Hilmar (Kris) and Hilda Kristiansen. As a young child the family moved to Calgary where Vivian made school friendships that she would treasure for life. She met Walter Boston through family friends and they were married in 1956. Vivian grew up as an only child, Walter had only one sister. They dreamt of a large family where there would always be someone to play with and were blessed with five children. Her greatest joy was her family, who will miss her deeply. There was nothing that she enjoyed more than dinners surrounded by the whole noisy crew. Vivian treasured her Norwegian heritage and shared that through her baking and crafting. Travelling in their motorhome with family, gardening, bowling, crafting, and reading kept Vivian happily engaged. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Walter; her children: Christine Bannard (Jeff), Rob (Joanne), Carolyn, Catherine, Alan (Audrey); three granddaughters: Heather, Tracy, Greg; three grandsons: Kris, Trevor, Mike; and many cousins in Norway. The family would like to express their gratitude towards the Foothills Hospital ER staff and the nurses on Unit 32 for their kindness and care. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Hope Lutheran Church (3527 Boulton Rd.
