Winona Yvonne (Neff) Murch, 92, a resident of Ewa Beach, Hawaii for 53 years, passed away in her apartment at The Courtyards at Mountain View, Denver, Colorado on Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was laid to rest next to her beloved husband of 48 years, LeRoy Murch, LT USN (Ret) at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Oahu, Hawaii on October 17, 2024.

Winona Yvonne Neff was born on July 20, 1931, in Dundalk, Maryland. She was the daughter of John Edward Neff and Martha (Peterson) Neff. Vonnie graduated from Mountain View High School in Mountain View, California and furthered her schooling at a college near her home in Mountain View. Von was united in marriage to LeRoy Murch on February 9, 1951, in Reno, Nevada.

Von was a devoted Navy wife and loving mother who lived a life of exemplary faith and character. Further, she was a dedicated supporter of veteran and active military members, accomplished sewer, tax preparation consultant, food bank volunteer, and was involved in many church missions, programs, and activities. Her hobbies included reading, cooking, music, gardening, sewing, and traveling.

Von will be deeply missed by her surviving children, Lindsay "Lynn" Murch Gould (Michael Smith) of Albany, OR, and Nancy "Nan" (Murch) Romanowitz (Mark) of Aurora, IL; fourteen grandchildren, Janele Turner, Jacob Murch, Andrew Murch, Tyler Gould, Jonathan Gould, Rachel Murch, Johanna Murch, Josiah Romanowitz, Caleb Romanowitz, Dan Romanowitz, Andy Romanowitz, Annie Barbour, Eli Barbour, and Ava Barbour; and seven great-grandchildren.

Von was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, LeRoy, on June 4, 1999, her son, Lt Col Doug Murch, USAF (Ret) (Tami), on April 17, 2013, her grandson, Jason Gould, on June 28, 2013, and her daughter, Cheri Murch (Rick Barbour), on July 25, 2023. Her oldest son, Randall Murch (Liane), passed away on May 28, 2025.
