Though we never met personally, Skydancer and I conversed online on a regular basis. We shared quite a few mutual interests and I found a good friend in him. Clear skies and fair winds my chiropteran friend, you are sorely missed.

I haven't seen Walter since after high school when I left PA well over 40 years ago. I clearly remember him as a friendly and all around great person and probably (make that certainly) the smartest person in our class. I am so sad that he has passed. Just wanted to pass along the fond memories I have from so long ago.

The carrier has turned into the wind preparing for your final launch. You are now relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The plank is in place and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate. A Navy Vietnam Veteran.

Skydancer, Walter and I shared in an online community for more than 15 years. Though I never met him personally, in that time I came to know him as a man of great intelligence, humor, and above all, integrity. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Mrs. Loy, David and Cindy - I just heard about Wally from my Brother. I am so sorry about this - I talked to Wally over the Holidays and he was planning to come to NH for a while this Spring and hang out. Wally and I have been friends since Kindergarten and he was my longest time friend still around. Let me know if there is anything we can do. My email is below - unfortunately my only contact with all of you over the years has been through Wally - so contact me there or I will give you my phone if you like. I have not been more than 20 miles from home since COVID hit in Feb. of 2020 so I am not sure I can make it home to PA this Sunday as I have commitments on Saturday, but we will see. I found the Pic below from our 25th reunion in 2005 - I do have lots of "Wally stories" to share ..... All our love from Ron and Joann
