WILSON, Walter Peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Residence Prescott Russell Walter Wilson passed away at the age of 90. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years Loretta Agnes Gould (2012). Walter was born in Dundee, Scotland, he was the son of Walter Wilson and Maggie (Margaret) Matthews. Loving father of Deborah Wilson (Hoerig) and Michael Wilson. Fondly remembered by his numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his cherished brother Jim "Peam" Wilson and his sister Margaret Gaul. Walter began his career in the print business at the Dundee Courrier and he immigrated to Montreal, Quebec in 1953 as a skilled Lithographer/ Photoengraver/Camera Operator. He had a great passion for music, especially opera and enjoyed singing in a choir for a few years. In his later years, he lived at the VKH Revera Heritage Lodge Retirement Home, and for the last two years resided at the Residence Prescott-Russell. Walter was known to always be an enthusiastic participant in as many activities as he could. His sparkle, smile and kind soul will always be remembered. Walter was known to break out into the Java Jive song, on his way to meals. He loved his coffee. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at the Residence Prescott Russell. Mass to be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. in his name at St. Malachy's Parish, 5330 Clanranald Avenue, Montreal, Quebec followed by a reception in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation 237 Water Street East, Unit 1, Cornwall, Ontario K6H 1A2 would be appreciated.
