POINT PLEASANT — Wanda Lee Wamsley, 74, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington.
Wanda was born April 16, 1944, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Millard Herman Holcomb and Faye Louise (Dunlap) Holcomb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray "Bobby" Wamsley and brother, Ronnie Holcomb.
Wanda was retired with 40 years of service from Pleasant Valley Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and James Hollingshead of Point Pleasant, Tamara and Bryan Thompson of Point Pleasant and one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Hollie Wamsley of Point Pleasant; eight sisters, Ruth Bland, Sharon Spencer, Bonnie Cogar, Carolyn Bienkoswka, Peggy Williams, Debbie Holcomb, JoAnn Camp and Kathy Mallette; one brother, Herman Holcomb; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Jared) Long, Nathan Hollingshead, Brittany Hollingshead, Christopher (Lacy) Thompson, Kayla Brumfield, Tyler Wamsley and Rilie Wamsley; 7 great-grandchildren, Braylon Thompson, Charles Delanhoussaye, Shawn Delanhoussaye, Blessed Delanhoussaye, Arihnna Thompson, LaShaun Wattie and Graham Long.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 5 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Fred Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
