Wayne H. Freeman

Wayne, age 72, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was a longtime resident of Killian, LA. Wayne was a hard worker and retired from Union Carbide Corporation after dedicating 33 years as a heavy equipment operator and Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed going for rides on his motorcycle and throwing darts with his friends and family. Wayne was an incredible husband, loving father, and amazing Paw Paw who is already so deeply missed. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce Freeman; daughter, Michelle Hooter and husband David; son, Larry Freeman and wife Chantel; sister, Gloria Jane Bickford; grandchildren, Jessica Gainey and husband Chris, Amber Whipple and husband Scott, Travis and Trevor Freeman, and Michael and Jessica Hooter; and great-grandchildren, Oakley, Pyper, Nova, Gavin, Brennan, Cody, Katelyn, and Ben. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lois Freeman; and grandparents, Eli and Beulah Freeman and Robert and Mary Floyd Wilson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson, Ponchatoula, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, September 17, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Milton Bourque Jr. will officiate and Bro. Gene Faurle will assist with interment to follow in Killian First Baptist Church Cemetery.
