Among those who will cherish his memory are daughters, Valerie Davis and Kristen Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; Sonya Davis of Bethesda, Md.; Mary White of Daphne, Ala.; Tamera and Carmen Baker of Akron, Ohio and only son, Wendell Davis Jr. of Albuquerque, N. M. Siblings Celestine

(Reuben) Valrie of Akron, Ohio; Joe

Atlanta, Ga. and Wardell (Juanita) Davis of South Carolina; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, which includes four sets of twins, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

I offer my condolences to the Davis and Valrie Family's, I worked with Wendell at Great Lakes in the beginning of my career, I was in my early twenties, a young buck. I have great memories of working side by side with Wendell and his buddy, Darnell at Great Lakes Construction Co.,building the Y Bridge in Akron and I-480 in Cleveland. He was always encouraging and as I have gotten older; I realize what a positive influence men like him have made in my life, not just through work but in life too. Rest in peace Wendell.
