Wenton Barney Obituary
He was born on Sept. 16, 1949, in Cuba, a son of the late Alton Barney and Delores Blatchley Curry. On Oct. 27, 1973, in the Oakland Wesleyan Church, he married Betty Wilkins, who survives.
Wenton enjoyed woodworking, trains, hunting, helping people and he was an avid farmer but he enjoyed spending time with his family most of all.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are their children, Wendy Barney Vergamini of Spencerport, April (Rob) Landry of Watertown, Tenn., Derrick Barney of Short Tract and Karey (Allan) Hanks of Andover; five grandchildren; a sister, Dawn Barney of Short Tract; a brother, Rodney (Kathy) Barney of Dadeville, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 15, 2018) at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday (Feb. 16, 2018). Bill Lawson, pastor of the Fillmore Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Short Tract Cemetery.
Memorials if desired to may be made to Short Tract Fire Department or Fillmore Rescue Squad.

So sorry for your loss, I just found out. My parents use to come to your house to get milk in gallon mayonnaise jugs and eggs from you folks. Their name is Robert and Carleen Rhode. Mom is living in Inglis, FL with my youngest sister, Roberta. Bob passed in 2005.
