William Chambers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 29, 2024.
William "Dollar Bill" Chambers, aged 65, passed away on Saturday October 26 2024 in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. Born in Philadelphia, PA,. He was a lifelong resident of Bucks County and lived at Tabor Home in Doylestown until graduating high school. He was a dedicated hederman at the Philadelphia Rivet Company in Doylestown, where he worked for 38 years.

William was a man of simple pleasures, known for his likable and friendly demeanor. He cherished time spent fishing with his son, Bob and his dog, Jesse, and his granddaughter, Emma. Just that and a couple of beers was all-he needed to make him happy. An avid football fan, William's greatest joy involved moments with his grandchildren, which were filled with laughter and love.

He leaves behind a loving family: his son, Robert, married to Rachel Kelly; daughter, Megan, married to Robert Myszka; ex-wife and long-time friend, Robin Chambers, grandchildren, Emma and Jackson; brother, Michael; sisters, Mary (married to William MacAdams), Susan (married to Richard Cocia), and Terry (married to Mark Selkow); along with many nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Elizabeth Galletti and Robert Charles Chambers, and his sisters, Kathy and his twin sister, Bonnie Chambers.

A graduate of Central Bucks West High School, William was a man who valued the simple things in life over material possessions, a trait that endeared him to many.

In lieu of services, contributions in memory of William can be made to the SPCA, an organization close to his heart. The Huff and Laker Funeral Home in Lansdale, PA is assisting the family during this difficult time. William's presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to live on through the cherished memories he created with his loved ones.
