William Crouch Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 8, 2022.
Rising with the glory of faith, William Dorsey Crouch, 69, entered eternal life transcending all time and space on September 2, 2022.

Bill was a good man. Humble. Kind. Devoted to his family, who loved him dearly. The Rock. Semper Fi. "Always faithful." Forever.

Bill was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Mary and Dorsey Crouch, Jr. He had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed reminding everyone that he won the most beautiful baby contest, when he was born at St. Thomas Hospital.

He graduated from Garfield High School in 1971 and joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He respectfully served our nation from 1971 to 1975. Upon returning home, he successfully completed a comprehensive course of Electronics Technology from the United Electronics Institute. He began a career at Chrysler Twinsburg Stamping Plant in 1976 and retired after 32 years.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Nancy of 37 years. The two were an inseparable team on their journey through life with one heart and soul.

Bill is also survived by his son Chad William, his stepson Delvin (Elaine) Pickett, sisters Mary Jane Crouch and Kathryn Mize and brother Richard Crouch. Also left to mourn are his God-child nephew Andrew (Deanna) Mize, great nieces Katie and Brooklyn, great nephew Joshua, step grandchildren Bryce, Alliya, and Zachary Pickett and sister-in-law Marie Rice.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father Mary and Dorsey, brothers David Ryan and Leland Wayne, sister Marjorie Faye, nephew John Mize, brothers-in-law Darrell Mize, John Rice, Jr. and Larry Momchilov, sister-in-law Joan Rice and father and mother-in-law Nancy and John Rice, Sr.

Bill's heart was filled with a special love for his canine companions: Christmas, Chrissy and Cringle, who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and Bill now awaits the arrival of his feline friends: Friendly, Lucky, Barney and Joy and extra lovable Granddoggy Charlie.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter of the Fields Catholic Church in Rootstown on Friday, September 9th at 10AM. The family will receive visitors in the church one hour (9AM-10AM) before Mass. The family respectfully requests visitors to wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter of the Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Rd., Rootstown, OH 44272.

Bill Crouch now lives in the glorious fullness of God's love in the Heavenly Kingdom in perfect joy and peace. We shall all meet again...someday. That is the magnificent gift of faith.
