William Henion

William Henion, age 80, of Shelby, passed away peacefully with family at home on June 10, 2016. He was born October 30, 1935 in Caledonia, Michigan to Margaret and Tunis Henion. William married the love of his life on January 2, 1960 in Muskegon. He lived in Whitehall for a number of years and owned and operated B and A Construction with Annette (Anne). He attended St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Shelby. William enjoyed traveling with Anne, especially to Maine and the east coast. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing and enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids along. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret; father, Tunis; and his sister, Marge. He is survived by his wife, Anne; his brother, Walter; his sister, Phyllis; sons, Ned and Bradley (Amy); his grandchildren, Ned (Savanna), Rebbekka (Scott), Andrew, Kelsey, Grace; and several great-grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday, June 14th, 11 am with the funeral service to follow at Noon, both at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 7400 West Johnson Road, Shelby, MI with Pastor Thomas Bye officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ulysses Cemetery in Crystal Valley following the funeral and luncheon.
