Obituary for William John Mickley, Sr.

William John Mickley Sr., known fondly as Bill, passed away suddenly at home on February 23, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on February 19, 1960, Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gina, his sons William and Brandon, and his Daughter-in-law, Banafsheh. He also leaves behind his devoted step children Michelle, Joseph, and Nicole. Bill took great pride in his grandchildren, Aryana and Dillon Mickley, as well as Amara, Max, Bailey, Lennox, and Evelyn - treasuring every moment spent with them.

Bill is also survived by his brother, Robert Wammack (Catherine) and his sister, Debbie Vawter (Mike), along with his nephew Mike and nieces Amanda, Tiffany, and Shayla.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Bill spent his career as a warehouseman for Unified Grocers, retiring in 2023. A man of deep faith, he was an avid student of the Bible and a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Linden, CA. He found purpose in helping maintain the church grounds and volunteering wherever he was needed.

Bill was a passionate Republican and a proud member of the NRA. He loved the great outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping whenever he could. But above all, he valued his family, cherishing the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on March 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Linden, 17580 CA-26, Linden, CA 95236. A lunch will be provided by his beloved church family immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church, Linden for their parking lot resurfacing fund-a cause that was close to Bill's heart.

Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of faith, love, and dedication to family and community will live on.
