WILLIAM L. PAUTLER

Bill Pautler was born April 10, 1939 in Evansville, IL. He passed away peacefully on Friday, March 23, 2012, after a valiant three-year battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his family in Tucson, AZ.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diane Jeffries; sons, William Jeffries “Jeff (Mary) and John (Barb); daughter, Brooke; and 3 grandchildren Kennady, Delaney and Aidan “Grant.

Bill and family resided in Tucson, Ariz. He graduated from the U of A in 1964 with a B.S. in accounting, business, and economics; and in 1965 with MBA in finance. Bill led a distinguished 43-year career as a financial advisor, the last 37 years were spent serving the community of Green Valley. In July of 2000, Bill and his two sons proudly opened the Raymond James Financial Services office located in the Continental Plaza. The office continues under the ownership and management of his sons Jeff and John.

Bill and Diane spent his last few years traveling with family and friends, spending time with their beloved grandchildren and relaxing at their vacation home in Pinetop, AZ. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Bill gave selflessly of his time to his friends and neighbors. No one ever had a harsh word to say about him. We are blessed to have him in our lives and memories. Bill will remain in our hearts and be greatly missed.

A celebration of his life and tree-planting remembrance will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, please make donations payable to the University of Arizona Foundation/Arizona Cancer Center and mail to 1515 N. Campbell Ave., P.O. Sorry to hear about Bill. Just came across a photo of he and I taken at the missile garden at White Sands I think about 61 or 62. I was in Tucson some years and talked to him but just could not arrange to meet.

To the entire Pautler Family,
I am truly saddened and shocked to hear of Bill's passing! I used to work for him many years ago at Dean Witter in GV. He was so good to me and one of my favorite people ever! I have thought about him many times throughout the years and I always remembered his bday was on 4/10, but I hadn't talked to him for a couple years. My deepest sympathies go out to all of you. I can still remember the sound of his voice, and he always called me "Ree-nee". My thoughts are with you.

Such a nice man, so glad I was able to have met him in this lifetime. He and his wife both, such nice people.
