William J. Pyle of Shillington, PA died peacefully at home on July 23, 2025. William was born in Philadelphia on December 15th 1945 to the late Veazy and Josephine Pyle.

William was a Navy Veteran who served for his country in the Vietnam war. After finishing his military career he returned to Delaware County before spending the last 30 years in Berks County.

After losing his wife, Rhoda, of 55 years last July, He found solitude in bonding with his daughters and grandchildren, and remembering his wife daily by taking care of her many plants and continuing her love of Hallmark movies. He loved to talk and would chat with anyone willing to listen. After 386 days with out his wife, Rhoda, he decided it was time for them to be reunited.

William is survived by his daughters, Susanne Rickards wife of Christopher of Shillington, PA and Amanda Canto wife of Thomas of Leesport, PA. As well as 6 grandchildren Britainy, Conor, Colin, Aidan, Liam Rickards and Austin Canto, Sister Joanne Hamill brother-in-law Harry Schwarzmann husband of Lynn, as well nieces and nephews.

William is predeceased by his wife Rhoda, brother-in-law Ronald Hamill and sister-in laws Ellen & Virginia Schwarzmann.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.

William, has so graciously decided to donate his body to science to help educate future medical professionals. Being the simple man that he was he requested no services and the family will celebrate his life privately with burial of his ashes at a later date.
