William Shamburger

SHAMBURGER William Boman, 71, passed away on June 11, 2018. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 11, 1947, to the late Florence Newton Shamburger and Boman Lafayette Shamburger. He is survived by his children, Kelsey Shamburger of Washington, DC, and Boman Shamburger of Lexington, KY. Throughout his life, Bill was known for his quick wit, integrity, sense of humor, and tireless work ethic. Bill first and foremost considered himself a father- he was a devoted parent who made many sacrifices to support his two children. Bill earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Kentucky, and was an avid UK fan despite his Louisville roots. He had a unique career path, working as an auto mechanic, owning a men's clothing store, and serving in state government before becoming a financial advisor for over 30 years. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to his team of devoted caregivers, and close friend and colleague Richard Noonan. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Milward-Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd. in Lexington.
