Years ago, my husband had a wreck, totaling our pickup and horse trailer. Miraculously, he came out of the accident with only a scrape on his collar bone from the seat belt rubbing as the rig tumbled over and over. While the dust was still settling, he thought the two horses were surely dead. After crawling out of the pickup, he looked back to see them peacefully grazing in the bar ditch, essentially unhurt. The angles were on duty there that day.
Upon hearing about the mishap, Buck loaned him a spare pickup for a month, until we could arrange to buy another one. What a great blessing that was! We were in dire straights, and the Lord used Buck to come to the rescue. He was so kind to offer such gracious help, and he did it with wonderful love in his eyes. He was happy to help, and we have been forever grateful to Buck for the great heart he displayed at a time when we really needed it.
We're excited for Buck, getting to be in Heaven with the Lord and all the Patriarchs of the Christian Faith. He heard God say, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of your Lord!'

Dear Yvonne,
Buck was not only my first cousin but a wonderful childhood friend. Even though time and distance has separated us, he will always be in my heart. He always wanted to be a cowboy.
My deepest condolences,
Jean Howland (Plattsmouth, NE.)

Dear Yvonne,
I am so sorry to hear of Buck's death. We know he is with his Jesus now! He will be truly missed. Bubba loved him so much and I was fond of him. He loved my cherry pies! I will keep you and your family in our prayers. I am sorry I will not be attending tomorrow but I can not leave my Mom who can not walk and is in hospital bed. Bubba will be attending but I will be thinking of all of you! God Bless!
In Christian Love,
Bubba and Rena' Martindale

Dear Yvonne,
I am so sad to hear of Buck's passing. He was such a good man and a wonderful inspiration to me in our poetry group. He was very encouraging and always made me smile. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure the Lord will love listening to his poems in heaven.
