Willie Dan Rowell

Willie Dan Rowell, 79, of Victoria passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. He was born August 30, 1936 in Edna to the late Manus Burns and Mattie Givens Rowell. He received his degree from Texas A&I University and retired from Dupont after more than thirty years of service. Willie was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Cihal Rowell of Victoria; daughter, Nancy Lyn Hillary and husband, Gerald of Rockport; son, Michael Dan Rowell and wife, Jackie of Brazoria; step-daughters, Mary Beth Cihal of Dallas and Veronica Crolley and husband, Bill of Granbury; step-sons, Stephen Cihal and wife, Miriam and Dennis Cihal and wife, Robyn, all of Victoria and Christopher Cihal and wife, Diane of Ganado; brother, Dillie Don Rowell and wife, Mary of Somerville; brother-in-law, Ben Jones and wife, JoAnne of Spring Branch; heart brother, Clifford Powers and wife, Jenette of Austin; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and 7 step great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Reta Arlene Rowell.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Brewer officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.
Pallbearers will be Crossroads Emmaus Fourth Day Group.
