Yvonne Kay Mason

Yvonne Kay Mason, age 75, passed away on January 27, 2024, in Everett, WA. She was born on January 2, 1949, in Minot, North Dakota, to Lawrence and Helen Frounfelter. Yvonne grew up in Mount Lake Terrace, WA, where she graduated from high school. She further pursued her education at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, and obtained her teaching degree. Yvonne dedicated 25 years of her life as a beloved 1st-grade teacher in the Snohomish School District.

In addition to her passion for teaching, Yvonne had a variety of interests that brought her joy. She loved singing, participating in bible study groups, baking delicious cookies, and making her famous homemade fudge. Family was important to Yvonne, and she cherished spending time with her loved ones.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Helen Frounfelter, her sister Patricia Frounfelter, and her brother Lawrence Frounfelter Jr. She is survived by her sister Bonnie (Kevin) Schaefer of Marysville, WA, her sons Jason (Jodi) Sanger of Everett, WA, Travis (Vanessa) Sanger of Sultan, WA, Casey Sanger, and daughter-in-law Chelsea Keiley of Edmonds, WA. Yvonne was also blessed with five grandchildren, Maya Krankota, Miranda Sanger, Easton Allen, Carter Sanger, and Aubrey Sanger.

A celebration of Yvonne's life will be planned to take place this spring. May her memory forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
