YVONNE PATTERSON Obituary
Affectionately known as "Vonnie," born June 13, 1947, and transitioned peacefully February 8, 2019, age 71. The Celebration of Life will be held April 27, 2019, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Raffa Ministries, 6942 Upland Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.

Vonnie was a good friend of mine when we both commuted together by train to our respective jobs in College Park MD and Washington DC. We chatted about anything and everything, her students, politics, our families. Yvonne was truly larger than life, a very creative and resourceful person. He also often talked about Pittsburgh and how my hilly neighborhood reminded her of her hometown.
My condolences to her family and friends. I miss her sunny disposition and indomitable optimism. Rest in peace my friend.
