Zana Wilson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 29, 2024.
Zana Lee Wilson ( Vaughn), aged 80, passed away on July 23, 2024, in Centerville, Ohio. Born on February 6, 1944, in Whitley County, Kentucky, Zana was a beacon of creativity and kindness throughout her life.

Zana was renowned for her vibrant spirit and her innate ability to connect with people. Her passion for crafts shaped much of her life, from pottery to an array of beautiful handmade items. Jewelry making, however, was her favorite, often teaching others the craft with great enthusiasm. She enjoyed putting puzzles together as well! Her home was often filled with the laughter and chatter of friends and family playing board games and cards enjoying her cooking and baking alongside her. These were times that meant so much to her.

Her Christian faith was central to her life. She cherished attending church with her husband of 58 years, sharing and growing their faith together. Her dedication to her family was unwavering.

Zana is survived by her son Randy Wilson (Tammy), grandson Kurt Wilson (Rebecca), and great-grandson Desmond Wilson. She also leaves behind a niece, Zana Hutchinson (Bill), who she loved as her own daughter, along with many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Her siblings, Penny L. Davis, Frances E. Hunter Bonville (Steve), and Alfred Vaughn (Elaine), sister in-law Barbara Stewart, will also hold her memory dear.
Zana was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years John D Wilson, her parents, Juanita C. Anderson and her Father Curtiss P. Vaughn, her sister Carol A. Story, and her grandparents Alfred Farmer and Frances Farmer, as well as, many more relatives.

A small memorial service will be held in the facility where she lived, celebrating her life and the countless ways she touched those around her. Zana's legacy of love, creativity, and community will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
