Dale Kisner Obituary

HUDSON - Dale E. Kisner, age 86, of Hudson passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at his daughter Donna's home. Surrounded by family, he went to be with (in Dale's own words) the best friend he's ever had, Jesus Christ.

He was born Feb. 6, 1935, in Ogden Station to Estel and Katherine (Riesz) Kisner. On Sept. 28, 1957, he married Freda Barns. They raised three daughters on their dairy farm in the Waldron area.

He worked 35 years as a milk tester for Dairy Herd Improvement Association. Dale and Freda lived their retirement years on Horseshoe Lake in Hudson. Dale enjoyed antique tractors and cars and touring the country on his Gold Wing. His favorite pastime was cheering on his grandkids at sporting activities, giving them his signature thumbs up to show his faithful support.

Dale is survived by wife, Freda; three daughters, Phyllis (the late Roy) Myers of Hudson, Donna (Kim) Baker of Clayton and Janet (Dr. H. Lee) Kanter of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Kathleen Cole of Hillsdale; three sister-in-laws, Mary Kisner, Karen Kisner and Grace (Alvin) Wheeler; 12 grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph and Marina (Myers), Sarah, Jacob, Mark, Yeison, Adam, Dalay and Hannah (Baker) and Lucas and Nathan (Kanter).

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Thomas and brother-in-law, Richard Cole.

Visitations will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Reformed Baptist Church of Lenawee in Adrian with Pastor Calvin Walden officiating. Meal following service, with 2 p.m. burial at North Dover Cemetery.
