LIMA — It's with great love and sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our dear son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, Brady Roberts Bassett, who passed unexpectedly from this life on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Morrow, AR. Brady's soul now resides in Heaven, where he forever rests in peace with his Savior Jesus.
Brady was born on July 30, 2001 in Lima, the second of three children born to Brooke M. (DeMoss) Dudgeon and Christopher L. Bassett.
Brady was a warm, loving, kind-hearted, respectful young man who never knew a stranger and was always careful not to hurt anyone's feelings. He had a contagious laugh and smile that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him best.
Brady attended both Bath and Allen East schools, where he participated in baseball, football, and wrestling. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Brady was the definition of a hard worker, who always enjoyed helping his family, and loved to work with his grandpa on the farm. He was currently residing at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch in Morrow, Arkansas. It's important to know that Brady gave his heart to Jesus at an early age. Brady re-dedicated his life to Christ on Oct 28. He recently reaffirmed that commitment on December 11, 2017, with a winter pond baptism.
Brady leaves many behind who were blessed to have known him. Without any doubt, we know Brady waits for us with Jesus on "the other side" where we will see him again.
Those who cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Brooke and Rod Dudgeon of Ada, his father and step-mother, Christopher and Katie Bassett of Lima, sisters, Lori Bassett of Lima and Kenzie Bassett of Ada, half-brother, Colton Bassett of Lima, step-brother, Masen Schleeter of Lima, and step-sisters, Adalyn and Sophie Jackson of Lima. Maternal grandparents, Jim and Kathy (Young) DeMoss of Lima, maternal great-grandparents, Pastor Paul and Sue DeMoss of Findlay and Kathy (Rode) Young of Delphos. Paternal grandparents, Dave and Kim (Catlett) Bassett of Lima, paternal great-grandfather, Lewis Bassett of Lima. Maternal aunt, Lindsay and Erik Wollenhaupt (Luke & Emma) of Lima, Paternal uncles, Erich Bassett, and Josh and Tara Bassett (Dakota & June) of Lima. Brady leaves behind countless others that loved him dearly.
Brady was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Dean and Lori (Huber) Young and paternal great- grandparents, Frank and Carole Catlett and Imogene Bassett.
A "Celebration of Brady's Life" will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 9:30 am at Harvest Baptist Church, Wapakoneta, OH.

Brady was an amazing friend, he was full of life and joy, hes so goofy, the first thing he said to me was "your from Cincinnati? you better watch Ohio state unless your a fake fan" then we both laughed at that for what seemed like hours. he was just such a funny and loving person, he really had the heart of a hero.
