Carolyn Duff

1941 - 2024

WAYNESFIELD -- Carolyn Isabelle (Malott) Duff of Waynesfield, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024 at the Masonic Nursing Home, Springfield Ohio.

She was born on July 19,1941, near Collins, Huron County, Ohio to Harold and Edna (Llewellyn) Malott. On May 23,1960, at the home of George and Edna Mayer, Carolyn and Bewel Duff were married by his dad Green Duff. All the above have preceded her in death.

Carol graduated Bath School in Lima, Ohio. She spent her time as a homemaker and crocheting everything from dolls, doilies and bed coverings. She learned many crafts from ceramic painting, Indian jewelry, caning chairs and making baskets. She enjoyed researching family genealogy and contacting those she had never met.

She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Todd) Class of Mechanicsburg, OH and Stacie (Keith) Nigh of Urbana, OH; her sons Todd Duff of Waynesfield, OH and Lance (Frankie) Duff of Fort Wayne, IN; her grandchildren Brandy (Josh) Miller, Wesley (Laura) Hurley, Colter (Vicki) Hurley, Logan (Paige) Class, Harlie (Bob) Stiles, Caitlin Duff, Nicholas Duff, Brooke Koogler, Jai Frazier, Lindsay Cornelius, Amber Nigh and Jessika Mount; her great-grandchildren, Avah Miller, Ethan Miller, Makayla Hurley, Kaleb Hurley, Nathan Hurley, Larissa Hurley, Steven Hurley, Hunter Hurley, Eli Class, Lucas Class, Jolie Stiles, Sadie Stiles, Jacob Claycomb, Madison Claycomb, Brendon Koogler, Tyler Frazier, Kalob Frazier, Mya Mount, Armani Muhammad, Emma Heeg and Claire Heeg; her great-great-grandchildren Adelynn Frazier and Houston Frazier. Also surviving is her sister Marilyn Stark of Lima.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Emma Malott, Henry and Ruth Llewellyn; her brother, John Henry Malott; her sister Susan (Donald Gene) Born.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, 1170 Shawnee Road, Lima.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Martin Branch Freewill Baptist Church, 1933 KY-7, Wayland, KY 41666, with Willie Duff officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in Chaffins Cemetery, Garrett, KY.
