Danny O'Neil Obituary
LIMA -- Danny L. O'Neil, 77, of Lima passed away at 2:26 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Wapak Manor.
He was born on May 15, 1946 in Lima to Donald and Thelma (Myers), who both preceded him in death. On December 22, 1973, he married Janet L. Brunk, who survives in Lima.
Danny proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the US Air Force during Vietnam. He worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant as a Supervisor in Human Resources/ Labor Relations and retired in 2004. He attended St. Luke's Lutheran Church and was a member of Shawnee Country Club and the Elks Lodge 54, Lima.
Surviving in addition to his wife Janet L. O'Neil of Lima are his daughter Jerri D. O'Neil of Colorado; his step-son Dr. Jeffrey D. Roush of Helena, MT; his step-daughter Amy L. Roush of Atlanta, GA; his five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Edward O'Neil and his sister Jane Funk.
According to his wishes, there will not be any visitation or services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project or Veteran Service Dogs.

I worked with Dan at Ford. He was a prince of a man. He used to come out to my department in Cutter Grind after the shift was over to check up on me. He knew the stress of that job and was concerned for me and I am grateful for that and his friendship. When I lost my job to there due to downsizing he gave a tremendous referral for me to start my new career which I have been in for 18 years now and has been a tremendous blessing to me. He will be missed and my heart goes out to those who love him.
