GLENN MARKLEY
VAN WERT — Glenn T. Markley, 70 of Van Wert, died at 11:57 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.
He was born on July 4, 1946 in Lima, Ohio, the son of the late Henry R. and Doris Elsie (Miller) Markley. On June 30, 2001, he married Dorothy E. "Dot" Mason-Markley, who survives at the residence.
Glenn retired in 2008 from Teleflex in Van Wert after 34 years. He was a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau and 1965 graduate of Lincolnview High School. Glenn was particular about his mowing and upkeep of his residence. He was very detailed and loved his cars and motor cycles; also loved his music, family, and especially watching his grandchildren in their activities.
Family survivors include his wife, Dot; son, Kris Markley of Van Wert; step-son, Donald Mason of Van Wert; two grandchildren, Ethan Markley and Kellen Markley and is survived by a aunt, many cousins, friends and other extended family, & his dog, "Buddy Beagle Markley".
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2-8 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 16, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Paul W. Miller. Interment is at Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township, Van Wert County, Ohio.
Preferred memorial to the Humane Society or FFA.
