ADA — It is with deep sadness that the family of Maryan Driggers, 95, shares the news of her passing at 5:32 a.m. on September 19, 2021. Maryan was born on July 9, 1926, in Alton, IL, to the late Oscar and Opal (Parker) Baird. On October 26, 1942 she married Morris Driggers and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1993.
Maryan served with her husband in ministry with Church of God congregations in Springfield, OH; Little Rock, AR; Cincinnati, OH; St. Petersburg, FL; and Lima, OH. Family and friends will greatly miss her kind, sweet spirit, but are eternally grateful for the many contributions she made to the lives of so many she touched. She was a grand lady who loved and was loved in return.
She is survived by her children Gary and Judy Driggers of Eddyville. KY, Tom and Linda Driggers of Cincinnati, OH, and Susan and Terry Hord of Ada, OH; grandchildren Kyle and Emily Driggers of San Leandro, CA, Katelyn and Paul Grube of Cincinnati, OH, Katy Hord and Liza Hord of Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren Sydney, Stephen, and Aubrey Driggers, and Zoe and Chase Grube; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her loving son Steven Driggers of Cincinnati, OH, and her sister Marjorie Daugherty of St. Louis, MO.
A private intimate funeral service will be held at a later date with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.
