Sandra Wienken Obituary

DELPHOS – Sandra "Sandy" S. Wienken, 70, of Delphos, passed away Thursday morning, March 7, 2024 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio after an extended illness.

She was born December 11, 1953 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Jack and Evelyn Armstrong who preceded her in death. She married Ted Wienken on October 13, 1973 and he survives.

Her survivors also include, her daughters Susan (Richard) Kimmel and Wendy Wienken, four granddaughters, Sarah, Hailey, Morgan and Riley; and a grandson, Jarron. She is also survived by her siblings, Carol Miller and Larry (Barb) Armstrong.

Sandy worked at St. Rita's Medical Center in the lab; she also was employed at Sears and Tracy's Appliances. She loved working in Sales. Her hobbies included traveling and shopping with her daughters and grandchildren. She spoiled them a lot! Sandy was a very devoted animal lover, especially horses, cats, dogs and fish. She had a hard time even swatting flies! She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service at 5:00 p.m. at the Weber Funeral Home 1840 E. Fifth Street Delphos, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the Allen County Humane Society. Online condolences can be left at www.info@weberfh.net.
