WAPAKONETA -- Wanetta J. Dotson, 86, passed away on November 25, 2022, at 5:18 pm, at Lima Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Wanetta was born October 25, 1936 in Lima, OH, to Milan and Jennie (Smith) Starkey who both preceded her in death. On June 7, 1957 she married Donald "Don" Dotson who preceded her in death on July 4, 2010.
Wanetta was a member of Lima Baptist Church for over thirty five years and she dearly loved the Lord. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Wanetta enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family and friends.
Wanetta is survived by her children, David (Cheryl) Dotson of Lima, OH, Sharon Melson of Lima, OH, Chris Schmiedebusch of Harrod, OH, John (Nancy) Dotson of Lima, Cindy Hollaway of Russells Point, OH, Steve (Carol) Starkey of Lima, OH, Diana (David) Tippie of Lebanon Junction, KY, Rick Dotson of Lima, OH, Jack (Lori) Dotson of Fletcher, NC, Greg (Staci) Dotson of Waynesfield, OH, Nancy McCarty of Lexington, KY, Lavonna (David) Ewing of Wapakoneta, OH, daughter-in-law, Becky Starkey of Lima, OH and numerous grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Franklin Thomas Starkey, son-in-law, John Schmiedebusch, son-in-law, Noel Hollaway, four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 4:00pm at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Rev. Gary Hohman to officiate the service.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 2:00pm until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family during this difficult time.

I am so very sorry for y´all´s loss!! Wanetta was an old neighbor of mine when I was young. She was always so kind. Prayers are with you all!!
