It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Rolando Sergio Herrera, who left us peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the age of 90. Rolando's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Guadalupe Herrera; parents, Jose & Maria Balbina Herrera.
He is survived by his daughters, Beatriz M. Herrera and Luz A. Herrera; grandson, Matthew Ivan Quintero; siblings, Jesus Gomez (Mona+), and Maria Socorro Geiger (Roger); as well as other relatives and friends who will greatly miss him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rolando's life during a visitation on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Nieto Funerals & Cremation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will continue on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Christ the King Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass beginning at 9:30 am.
Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Nieto Funerals & Cremations, 3502 US Hwy 83, Laredo, TX 78046.
