Jerry Lyn Copeland

Jerry Lyn Copeland of Lodi passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 14, 2010, at the age of 41. He was born on February 6, 1969, to Edward Morris and Marilyn Jean (Flewellen) Copeland in Lodi. He attended local schools and graduated from Tokay High School. He worked as a truck driver for twelve years. He was studying on-line at Ashford University for his psychology degree. His life surrounded his son, Jake, and he loved his time with him, especially watching wrestling and NASCAR. He enjoyed all animals, particularly his cats. He was a member of Open Bible Men's Ministry, and a member of Celebrate Recovery. He also attended The Home Church Jerry is survived by his son, Jake Edward Copeland of Lodi; mother, Marilyn Copeland of Lodi; sister, Kimberly (Phillip) Ortiz of Stockton; two nephews, Dustin and Derek Ortiz; and niece, Ashlee Ortiz. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Copeland. Friends are invited to visit Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. with committal to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
