Robert Whitaker Jr. Obituary
Bob was born in Lodi, CA on February 21, 1942 to Robert Stanley Whitaker and Kathleen Marie Larsen. He was the oldest brother to Richard Whitaker and attended Lodi High School. He served in the Korean War and received a golf scholarship to UCLA where he graduated with a law degree. He practiced law until his retirement. During his retirement, Bob was an usher for the Stockton Ports, then an usher for the Sacramento Kings/Golden 1 Arena. Bob leaves behind his son Josh Whitaker, daughter Aubrey Whitaker, stepsons Paul Delker and Matthew Delker, granddaughters Kailee Whitaker and Kaidence Whitaker, and step grandsons Noah Delker and Joey Delker.
Family and friends are invited to the Celebration of Life at Casa Bonita Funeral Home, 2500 Cemetery Lane, Stockton, CA on April 6, 2024 at 11:00 am

Bob and I are first cousins. His mother was my aunt. After many years of no contact, we reconnected last September. Bob came to have dinner with my son Eric and I last September. We planned on getting together again. But, Bob simply sent a couple of messages that he was sick. Recently, when I found that his phone is no longer in service, I found his obituary on the Internet. I miss him. We had a lot of fun sharing experiences when we were young.
