ALVIN CONWAY Obituary

Alvin J. Conway of Tarrytown died on May 6, 2008 at White Plains Hospital. Mr. Conway worked as President and Chief Executive Officer for Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens. He was with the company for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Mr. Conway was born August 18, 1925 in Bronx, NY, to James and Florence Farbman Conway. He was educated in New York and graduated from CCNY. He earned a Masters degree in Hospital Administration from Columbia University. Mr. Conway served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946 and attained the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Conway was a Combat Medic. On September 9, 1994, he married Gail Chirnoff in Tarrytown. Mr. Conway lived in Tarrytown for 24 years. He is survived by children, Jimmy (Barbara) Conway of Goshen, NY, Jack (JoAnn) Conway of Albany, NY, Susan (Timothy) Norris of Yorktown Heights, NY, Christopher of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Jesse, Brian, Rebecca, Kyra, Cory, Kieran, Cassandra and CJ.
