Mary and family,

I was profoundly saddened to learn of George's passing. During my years in Piermont, not only was he a good neighbor and caring employer, but also a cherished friend to all my family.
My thoughts are of you during this difficult time of adjustment.

Mary & family,

Sincere condolences to your family. I was two years ahead of George at Tappan Zee High School in Piermont, and have long known him & his wonderful family. My brother Jerry married the late Dorothy Sedlack, a TZHS classmate. The Sedlack & Voorhis families both lived on Ferdon Ave, & were long-time friends. I went to school at St. Agnes in Sparkill with George's brother-in-law Charles Montano. The beloved Voorhis family is one of the few remaining families of old-time Piermont. May George rest in peace.
