Croton Falls - Lawrence J. Tobin, June,19 1943- February 7, 2021.
Born in Boston, Mass, Larry grew up in Yonkers, and then White Plains. In 1984, he and his wife Sharon made their home in Croton Falls, NY. Larry earned his BA from Manhatanville College and his Masters degree in Social Work from Fordham University.
He was a dedicated social worker committed to underserved children and their families. His work touched many lives over his 35 years at Graham Windham in Hastings-on-Hudson.
He leaves behind his loving wife Sharon of 40 years and their son Sean. He is also survived by his son Larry Mooney of Smithtown, NY, his wife Kathy and their children Shannon, Terrence and Colleen. He will be deeply missed by his sisters Patricia Sullivan of Silver Springs, MD and Michele Cirino of Southport, CT. He was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Larry will be remembered by his many wonderful friends whom he cherished. A pillar of strength, he was known for his quick wit and salutary advice. He loved the spirit of the game and was a competitive player on the tennis court. Enjoyed skiing and sailing but mostly spending time with the family at the Lake House.

I worked for Mr. Tobin for about two years. Larry Tobin was a fair, caring, and respectful individual. He treated me like a professional and allowed me to perform my job independently, while performing his own responsibilities by counseling and guiding me during supervision.
Mr. Tobin’s philosophy was that we were put in a position of authority to better the lives of our clients. He once told me “ Hugo, some people use religion, education, money, and authority to put people down, when they should be a vehicle to help others...”

Mr Tobin you hold a special place in my heart for ever you loved me as a 11 yearl old child & im 43 now I will always love and remember u thank U for all you’ve done may you rest in heavenly peace you deserve it ❤
