Michael Avezzano Obituary
Piermont, NY - Michael Avezzano, 71, of Piermont, NY passed away on September 20, 2018 at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence.
He was born on February 7,1947, in the Bronx to Michael and Carmela (nèe Brancaccio) Avezzano.
His passion for automobiles led him to a career as a foreign car salesman/manager. He loved spending time with his wife boating, sailing and kayaking on the Hudson River.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Laura Rose.
He is survived by his devoted wife Carla (nee Jaye) of 46 wonderful years. He was the beloved brother-in-law, uncle, grand uncle, godfather, cousin and friend to so many. He will truly be missed by all.
Special thanks to the wonderful care and love he received from the nurses, aides, volunteers and staff while he was at the Joe Raso Residence.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 25th, 3-7pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26th, 1:30pm at Tappan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Michael's name to either the Joe Raso Hospice Residence, 415 Buena Vista Rd., New City, NY 10956 (www.hospiceofrockland.org) or Alzheimer's Association, 301 Main St., New City, NY 10956 (www.alz.org).

Farewell my old friend of 56+ years. We had some great times together over those years, especially in our teens and early twenties. Hopefully, one day we will meet again and share our memories.
