Owen Kane Kelly

Owen Kane Kelly, 16, died January 18 in Sleepy Hollow, NY.

He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 13, 1999 and was raised in Atlanta and Sleepy Hollow, New York. A sophomore at Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, he was an honor student and member of the junior varsity hockey team. He was a community volunteer and worked during the summer at the Tarry Crest Swimming and Tennis Club and the Philipse Manor Beach Club. He was a counselor-in-training at Camp Shankitunk in Delhi, New York.

He is survived by his parents, Jennifer and Jason Kelly, and brothers William and Henry. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday January 21 from 5 pm to 8:30 pm at the Pocantico Hills Firehouse (adjacent to the Church of the Magdalene), 531 Bedford Road, Sleepy Hollow NY. A funeral mass will be held Friday January 22 at 10 am at the Church of the Transfiguration, 268 South Broadway, Tarrytown NY. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to: Fordham Prep -- Owen Kelly Scholarship, 441 East Fordham Road, Bronx NY 10458.

I would like to share my condolences for your lost. Its hard to lose love ones in death. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 says "For if we have faith that Jesus died and rose again,+ so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus".
God gives us hope that we will see our loved ones when they rise from the thumbs. I hope this can give you hope to go on with such hard lost.
