Richard McCrae Obituary
Richard L. McCrae, 69, a life-long Peekskill resident passed away on November 23, 2016. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969. Richard worked for 33-yrs in maintenance and as a custodian in the Peekskill City Schools, until retiring in June 2003. He is survived by his son and daughter, James and Lisa McCrae; and his longtime companion, Carolyn Whitted. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 1 brother, nephew and cousins. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 9-11am at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:30am, followed by interment and military honors at the Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY. I'm sitting here just feeling lost..I try to b strong but it's just not working for me..I find myself just constantly thinking an thinking about you wishing this was just a bad dream ..tomorrow will be the day I will see u off an even tho u will b in a better place I just can't come to terms with it an probably won't for a long time ..as I sit here crying an in shock no matter what I will always be thinking about you an have you in my heart,I miss you dad an I promise to take care of Lisa while u are gone as well as everyone else...love u always..S.I.P...

You were and still are.....a fine person and a fine friend. I will miss you always, but I know you are okay and I will see you some day on The Other Side.
