Chris: I just found out tonight per chance through the internet of Robert's passing. My bother Bob and myself were concerned as we always saw Robert drop by our house and talk about cars and boats. We were concerned as we hadn't had the pleasure of seeing him lately. Please offer our condolences to your children as well. May he rest in peace,

My sincere condolences to the Neaman famiy! He was my guidance counselor at White Plains and at times I felt as if I was his only student. He always had an open door and he always had the right words. He convinced me that anything is possible and I will always be indebted to him. Thanks for everthing! Cameron Heaney

My sincere condolences to Julia and Alexis on the passing of your father. Bob was a special friend of mine - we first met back in 1974 when we were both pursuing our master's program at Manhattanville College.

Your dad was instrumental in getting me involved with his passion for photography and to this day much of my success is due to him.

I was so fortunate to visit your dad at his home in Lee, MA last year and we spent three glorious days going around the area and photographing so many of the beautiful sites up there.

Your dad was a very loving and compassionate person and I am so happy to have known him. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Victoria and I were so saddened to hear of Robert's death. He was a child and man of unique character and talent. Utterly gentle, yet utterly strong and generous in mentoring and sponsoring growth in others. His photographs attest to an exquisitely sensitive "eye," and a comparable, innate sense of design. We are hoping these will live on as we know his positive energy lives on, making the world a better place. We send our deepest thanks for sharing his life, heartfelt condolences to our entire family! [I have established a SmugMug photo gallery of all the photos I found on Robert's photo blog. Regrettably, the images, at present, comprise only near- thumbnails, the only resolution offered on his site. I will be more than happy to put highest resolution, printable photo files up on the SmugMug Professional site, if anyone can supply them. Site URL and password are available upon request to [email protected].]

My heart goes out to Christine and all the Neaman family. I'll never forget Bob's easy going gentle nature, and his warm smile. If I ever really wanted to be like someone it was Bob. He had an ability to make everyone he was with feel like they were family. he had such a positive impact on my life at the most pivotal point in my life! Thank you Bob and Christine!

Bob shared his knowledge, compassion and love of family to those of us cast to the margins of society. His care was not squandered. We rise, and bid farwell to a wonderful friend and his great council.

Crossing paths with Bob on my journey through this life help to shape me and point me in a very positive direction. I can still remember my first class on my first day at Educage. Bob had us listen to a Randy Newman record and discuss and decipher the lyrics. I was in...... one million percent, it was a turning point in my life. He was a role model that I could trust and who understood me. Every learning experience with and around Bob was fun, positive and meaningful. He cared and he knew who we were and how to best point us in the right direction. I am not sure, now that I am older and understand such things, how Bob saw himself.....if he knew or understood how wise he was or how right his methodology was. I think he was just being himself.......and that just plain worked for so many of us. Godspeed Bob.....see you over there.

Dear Family, Please accept my sincere condolences. Bob was such a great man of integrity. He was full of patience and understanding. It was because of his dedication to the misunderstood youth of Educage that people like me who were once counted out, can stand up for the misunderstood youth of today. I am thankful that we were recently able to reunite through facebook. May he rest in eternal peace and the peace of God sustain you.
