ROSE PANESSA Obituary

Rose Panessa (nee Corvini) of Yonkers died at St. Cabrini Nursing Home on Wednesday November 11, 2009 at age 91. Born on December 17, 1917 to Dominic and Josephine (De Divitis) Corvini.She married her loving husband Frank Panessa on May 25, 1941 at Mt. Carmel Church in Yonkers; he died on August 22, 2006. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Rose was the loving mother of Anita Hickey and devoted grandmother of Deborah (Steven) Brunner and Sandra (Robert) Hadley and cherished great-grandmother of Amy, Michael, Jaclyn, Christopher and Tyler. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brothers Edmund and Rudolph Corvini. Rose was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. A homemaker who devoted herself to her family, she will be greatly missed. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday November 14th at 9:30am. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
