William Burbridge Obituary
Suffern - Burbridge, William Frances (Yankee Elvis) of Suffern, NY passed away on October 16, 2018. He was born on August 29, 1935 in the Bronx, NY the son of Della (Murphy) and Joseph Burbridge. William worked for the NY Yankees in various capacities over a 60-year span. William is survived by his wife of 52 years Annette (Bivona) Burbridge, his brother Edward and wife Marion Burbridge (O'Boyle), his children Joseph, Francine, Debra, daughter in law Joann, and grandchildren Deanna, Colleen, Michael, Oscar and William Frances born on October 14th. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his mother Della, his father Joseph, and his brothers Joseph and John.
Visiting is Saturday October 20 from 4-8 pm and Sunday October 21 from 2-6 pm at Wanamaker and Carlough in Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday October 22 at 12pm at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern NY, burial will follow. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in William Burbridge's name.

I believe Mr Burbridge was a Shop-Rite manager over in Jersey. He was always friendly but there was a certain no-nonsense side that came out whenever he was running security at the stadium. "Those Were The Days"!
