To the Gay Family,

I am so sorry to hear about Anthony. Right off memories of when you guys live in Berkley Hills, and he and Nick and my Newphews Karis and Tre were up and down the street ...back and forth to each others house playing nintendo, basketball and and he-man. Those were the good ole days. Anthony was a good guy. He is with you always. May your memories comfort you in your time of sorrow.

I am so sad to hear of this tragedy. Since my family no longer lives in KY we heard the news from Marcus Marshall.
I want you to know you guys are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I had words of wisdom but all I can say is that we are praying for you. It is hard to understand why Anthony and my brother had to be taken at such young ages. Breaks my heart.
May God be with you.

I just wanted to say that I am truly sorry for your family’s loss. I did not know Anthony but I knew him through stories told by Nick. Nick and I worked at the Bose Store at FlatIrons mall for several years. Nick and I being the younger brothers in the family would share memories of our older brothers. When Nick spoke of Anthony, it was always with a smile about their funny times together. From the way Nick described him, he must have been a charismatic, warm-hearted individual. I also know that he was a great big brother to Nick from the way he told passionate stories of Anthony. It saddens me to hear that he has past at such an early age. I wish your family the best through this period. I wanted to share my memories with your family. My condolences to your family and friends for such a loss.

Respectively yours,

To my Dearest family, and friends, Some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

FROM A AUNT WHO LOST HER NEPHEW AT ONLY 18 YEARS OLD. I DON'T KNOW THE FAMILY OF ANTHONY BUT I DO KNOW YOUR LOST. I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU AND YOURS!

Patricia West

July 17, 2008

Larry & Gayle & Family,

Rest In Peace Anthony...

Go Forth in peace
Don't fear the darkness
Your life and ours
Are one in the Lord
Though you don't know this road
He walks before you
And waits ahead with open arms
To welcome you.

So lift your eyes
Set down your burden
Make your step light
And greet this day with joy.

You carried the light
and gave to all who met you
And take the same light home.

You live in our hearts
As you live in the love of the lord
Wherever you go
you'll never be alone.

His is the peace
That passes understanding.

His is the way
that leads beyond the dark.

Though we don't know the road
he walks beside us now
His cloak upon out shoulders
To warm us thorough the night.

So we leave the land we
We've come to love
And fallow his Voice
under the crisp new stars.

When we are weary
and can not face the morning
He carries us safely Within his loving arms.

Where ever we go now
Were only going home.
I love and miss you SO much, I'll never forget you or the memories we've shared. R.I.P

God’s love and comfort for of all of you. Mrs. Gay, Thank You.

Anthony is found within the basis of that which I believe myself to be. It is my understanding, during and as a function of our life experiences, we gather the aspects for the composition of our character through interactions with others. The exchange of personality and insight achieved during a friendship, or rather to a greater extent, a kinship, spans beyond the tiny pieces of Time that individuals share with one another. Anthony will always exist as a part of those individuals, like me, who he interactively helped to shape, and in Time, as a paid forward part of those individuals whom we will cultivate.

Anthony was such a great person. People sometimes do not have the opportunity to be around such genuine people like the Gay family. What a wonderful time I had during the 5 years we lived across the street from them in Foxgate. People grow up, change, lose contact and move on with their lives in different directions. However, people never forget childhood friends and families that created such great memories. The Gay family was one of those families for me as a child. Anthony will be missed by all. God bless and I am very sorry for your loss.
