I just learned of Greg's passing today as I just moved from St Louis back to Louisville. I attended Trinity and graduated in 78 with Greg. Over those four years , we were in several classes together. Greg, to me, was one of those larger than life characters that when he entered the room, everyone noticed. He was after all a football jock . and I guess I just looked up to him , because he was actually nice to me. He was always smiling joking and on occasion enjoyed ribbing me. I never took it to heart as I knew it was all in fun. My most vivid memory of Greg is when I went on senior retreat. Everyone went at some point in their senior year. It was a big deal. Greg had already gone so he would often tease me about what I should expect. I'll admit I was nervous. The most special part was when we all got letters to open. They were from parents and classmates. When I read my letters there was one that meant so much to me. It was a letter from Greg just encouraging me and letting me know that he cared about me. I think of that when I recall my Trinity experience and I'll never forget that. Rest in Peace Trinity brother.
I am so sorry Mcguire family for your loss.
