My favorite memory of James was that he loved to come to my house so I could make him an egg sandwich and a cup of coffee. He always told me I was his second Mom.

MY DAD
I just wanted to share with everyone why I am so lucky to be his daughter.
Dad only made me cry 4 times in 37 years. The first time was when I was about eight. I had asked him and Bonnie for a bike for christmas. we always spent christmas at Grandma's house and after all the presents were opened, I went into Grandma's room with my Aunt and cried because I thought he had forgotten my bike. After about 15 minutes, I opened the door and there it was, the best bike ever.
The second time was when out of no where, Dad came to the doctor's office where I worked. He walked in, handed me a rose, kissed my cheek and told me he loved me.

The third time was when we found out about his cancer.

I am sharing this with you because after I got older, Dad would tell me everytime he saw me that he never wanted to let me down again.

Dad: you never let me down. You have always been the best DAD a girl could ever have.
I had the best bike because it came from you. Along with every doll you gave me every Christmas for 35 years. Which I still have because I inherited the ability to be a pack rat just like you.
There will never be a man that will warm my heart the way you did that Friday when you gave me that rose. (yes, I still have that too.)
You fought for nine years with that horrible disease because your determination, will to live and love for your family and friends out weighed the pain you endured.
You'll always be my hero and no one stands a chance compared to you.

Oh and the fourth time. well that is now. I miss you so much. I miss hearing you say "Tracey Ann". You are the only one who called me that. I am very Thankful you are no longer suffering but I do not understand why it had to be you. You are the Best Husband, Best Father, Best Pops, Best Brother, Best uncle and Best Friend that we all had and there is no one that knew you that wouldn't agree. I Love you daddy and I'll always be your little girl. Love Always,

His pride and joy......

James was a very loving father husband and brother-in-law. My best memories is every time we had a gathering at Mom's house he tried to get me to make coffee and I always had to tell him I don't like coffee I drink hot tea. I just wish for my sister and nieces it was here so I could make him a pot of coffee. James we miss and love you very much.

When James and Kaye were dating they used to ask me to come along. I thought this was because they liked my company. Only later did I figure out why they asked...everytime I went with them somewhere I usually ended up pushing the car they drove because it would stall at the red light. I guess the joke was on me.

On a more serious note...I have the highest appreciation for James and Kaye for without them I may never have met and married my husband, Tim. So for that I am grateful. We love you and will miss you!

James was a wonderful man, who meant a lot to me and my family. I have so many wonderful memories of our families together. He was a very brave man, him and my dad were such good friends. I think they both new Meijer's forwards and backwards. The angel he gave me will hang on my Christmas tree forever. It will remind me of all of the kind things he has done, and the funny. In addition it will remind me, to never give up!

The cabin we stayed in in Gatlinburg was very special to us. We have lots of great memories spent with the family.
