Paul Sumner Obituary

SUMNER, PAUL, 79, of Louisville passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 at his residence.

He was a retired purchasing agent for the Louisville Water Co. Mr. Sumner served his country as a US Navy captain and had attended Southeast Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Arly Sumner; and sisters, Cora Cornett and Hazel Dunlap.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nesba Sumner; a daughter, Paula Franklin Miller (Tom); brothers, Denver and Boyd Sumner; a sister, Pauline Woods; and his grandchildren, Sydney and Sumner Franklin.

His funeral service will be held noon Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial in The Kentucky Heritage Garden of Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday.

We will miss Paul and the joyful times we shared with you all at basketball, at church, at school, and watching the boys grow up. He meant an awful lot to our family. He was like a family member who truly cared.
