I grew up next door to Richard. He was a kind gentle child, grew into a kind gentleman. He played his trombone like an angel. We all loved and respected him. He worked tirelessly to restore his mother's home so Leah could move close to Daddy. We will miss him. God Bless Phyllis and Jenna. You are in our thoughts and prayers

Dear Phyllis,

Richard greatly encouraged many in his faithful service to the Men's BSF class in Louisville. He was a founding member of the prayer group at the classes inception back in 1990. He loved God's Word and shared that love with many others. He will be well remembered and dearly missed.

Phyllis and Jenna,
There are no words to say. Richard Lee was a good man. A fine Christian man. I knew him my entire life. In the last two years I was lucky enough to know Richard as an adult. Bless your heart Phyllis, he always called you his Sweetheart! The Trumans all loved him and recall many happy memories. We are so sorry. So very sorry. I am sure going to miss him. Much love to you all.

Richard taught me so much about God's word, God's nature, and myself (reference Ross's Weasel Theology.) God used him in such a mighty way, reaching not only hundreds of men but untold additional hundreds through the impact on their family and friends. How may men could claim such a legacy? But it came through hard work and many hours on his knees, for which we are grateful to him and his family.
Richard would always get excited when talking about one day seeing his Lord. We know he's happy but we will will miss him.

I will deeply miss Richard. Though I only had the incredible fortune to hear his teaching at BSF for 2 years, our continued brief conversations after church on Sundays are among my favorites. His heart for teaching and his vast biblical knowledge was in a class with few others. What a great, great man. Not sure why God needed him back so badly, but I look forward to seeing him again. Phyllis, thank you for sharing Richard with BSF for so many years. His impact for the Kingdom is only matched by the other Great men and women of our time.

Phyllis,
I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Richard's passing. He had a major impact on the men in BSF who love and cherish the Word of God. He will be sorely missed on earth but has entered into Glory to be with the Lord. I am sure he has heard these words from our Lord "well done good and faithful servant"

I had the blessing of serving with Richard for a number of years through BSF International in Louisville. What a gifted teacher of the Word he was, and such a humble man. Although sad for those of us here, I know he's smiling down upon us as he stands with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God Bless You Brother Richard.
