Bruce MacDonald Obituary
Lifelong Tewksbury Resident
TEWKSBURY -- Bruce A. MacDonald, age 71, passed away at the Hannah Dustin Healthcare Center in Haverhill on July 24, 2016, from injuries sustained when he was hit by a car on December 1, 2015.
Bruce bravely battled complications from these injuries for 8 months in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities, not with anger, but with his characteristic mild manner and dry sense of humor.
Born in Somerville on September 9, 1944, he was the son of the late Ralph A. MacDonald and the late Gertrude (Stack) MacDonald.
He was raised in Tewksbury, and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1962.
Bruce graduated in 1966 from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in film from the School of Public Communications.
Prior to his retirement in 2013, he worked for the Tewksbury school system for 32 years.
He enjoyed his extensive classical music collection, reading the classics and enjoying various ethnic cuisines.
He will be greatly missed.
Bruce is survived by cousins, Lynn Barstow of Billerica and June Kelly of Newington, NH; also numerous friends.
He was the brother of the late Michael P. MacDonald and the late Kathleen M. Corby.
MacDONALD -- Bruce A. Co-workers and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 5, at the Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East St., Tewksbury. Kindly Omit Flowers. Donations in Bruce's memory may be made to Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876. Arrangements entrusted to Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, Tewksbury. www.farmeranddee.com.

Bruce MacDonald was one of my favorite customers who called to order classical music. I am so sad to hear of his accident, struggle and passing. He was always so kind. I miss his calls very much.
