Ed and my brother Paul were lifelong, best friends. And they were both the best of men. Kind, generous, warm and loving. I miss them both, but take some solace in knowing that they are together again.

There are people that we meet, over and over, but never quite get to a deep relationship with but eventually wish you had. Ed was that type of guy in my life. As a photographer Ed came into the Color lab I worked at and immediately, every time we would trade barbs and both of us were laughing. Then he would leave until the next week or the week after. When he came back you had a feeling that he listened to you, and you listened back. Ed had all the social graces bar none. I am not surprised he was involved with photography because he was so people orientated. Everyone I worked with knew and loved seeing him and Ed knew every name and every husbands name or children's names of those he spoke with. All around, Ed was special. My parents are in heaven and it's comforting that Ed and my Dad have had the same laughs that we did. Miss you, ED !!

I think of my dear friend each day and about how much I miss him. He brought so much joy and laughter into my life and the lives of so many others even when he was coping with his health issues. I could go on and on about his generosity, his incredible talent and so many other wonderful traits his skills. Love you brother!

I just heard about Eds' Passing and it broke my heart! I knew Ed because I was the Travel Co-ordinator for Chelmsford Youth Soccer and my kids played Sports at CHS. Ed was one of the Finest People I have ever met and I hope my son grows up to be as Great a Guy as Ed was! My prayers go to the Family-RIP ED!

Amid the teenage angst and pecking order trivia of high school, Ed stood out as one of the nicest guys at XBHS. I've no doubt his personality served him well in later life. My condolences to his family and friends.

Dearest Chris, Stephen and Peter: Ed was a very dear brother-in-law and will be missed greatly. I will always remember his smile and funny jokes whenever there was a family gathering. He will be thought of as a great man who had the gift of laughter with which he shared with many others. Life must go on, but it will be a little less happier without Ed. May he rest in peace in with his Mom and Dad and other loved ones gone before him. Till we meet again, Ed, you will never be forgotten.
Forever loved,

Cathy, Stephen & Pete & MacKinnon family:
Please accept our deepest sympathies for the loss of Ed aka Mr. Limptette. He was always so positive and caring of all around him. He had a natural knack for making you feel special with his quick wit and genuine respect for everyone. He was a tremendous athlete too.
Memories last forever as will his tremendous spirit. I learned never to dare him to do anything as he was very determined. My bet he couldn't eat a dozen raw eggs was an example. He did it with ease and jovially reminded us of it with his wide smile for the next 7 days of our trip through South Florida.
During his first bout with cancer his fundraiser was supported by over 191 Xaverian class brothers not even including friends and family which is amazing. Certainly there would have been many more had the word got out better.
He found the lighter side of every situation and made us all better by his example. Now he is no longer in pain. I am confident he has already got a couple runs in by now and can even taste his beer again in Heaven. RIP until we meet again!

Thank you for being my friend and classmate of 1973 X.B.H.S.. I always looked up to you for your kindness, humility, and all that you did for my family with your photography business- taking pictures of our friends at my wedding, and my parents reunion- all of which we still treasure today. When we held a fund raiser for you when you first got sick THE x.b.h.s. family supported your cause with 105 attendees and that was a testament of the wonderful person you are. Lastly, on the sports field, you were my receiver on the school championship flag football team our senior year, a great dedicated runner on the state championship 73' track team, and a our left fielder on the J.F. McDonald Championship softball team- REST IN PEACE- My Prayers are with your family today and your wife and children. Again, thank you for being our friend. Love- Peter and Gail Weiss
