James M. Devlin

James M. Devlin of Billerica, avid sports fan, Army vet; 78 BILLERICA James M. Devlin, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at his home in Billerica, after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Ellen M. Ward. Born in Boston, December 10, 1929, he was the son of the late James M. and Mary L. (Giuliotti) Devlin. A veteran, he served in the United States Army. Before retiring, Mr. Devlin was a General Manager at Foxcroft, a women's garment manufacturer. An avid baseball and sports fan, Jim used his love for softball and volleyball as well to each year organize a team, engage sponsors, and participate in the Annual Easter Seal Softball and Volleyball Tournaments. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, James "Jay" Devlin, Jr., and Sharon Sampson of Auburn; his daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen M. and Joseph Vitello of Norfolk, and Wendy and Joseph Moules of Billerica; his loving grandchildren, Marissa and Vanessa Vitello, Katie Devlin, and Cody, Tyler and Cally Moules; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary and Judy Ward, Charles and Nancy Ward, David and Lorraine Ward, Mark and Karen Ward, Janet and Henry Diorio; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
