He was the husband of Jeannine (Lanoue) (Watson) Normandin, with whom he would have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on July 26.
He was born in Dracut, Oct. 28, 1927, son of the late Joseph A. and Beatrice (Darisse) Normandin. He attended Dracut schools.
Mr. Normandin was the owner and operator of Custom Sentry Alarms and Normandin Liquors, both in Lowell. He also was employed in his early years as a manager at Manzi Dodge in Lowell.
He was an active communicant of Sacred Heart Church of Lowell, where he was the president of the 1000 Club and active with the church bingo, and in the parish's Men's Club. He was a current communicant of the Resurrection Church in Fort Myers.
He was a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Lowell, a member of the 100 Club of Massachusetts, and was the former president of the Greater Lowell Auto Dealers Association.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Susan Normandin, Robert and Patricia Normandin, and Steven and Susan Normandin, all of Chelmsford; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jeanne Earley, and Tricia and Scott O'Keefe, all of Chelmsford; a sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Emile Maille of Dracut; 13 grandchildren, Christine Howard, David Earley, Tracy Callahan, William, Steven, Robert, Christopher, Kerry, Katherine and Ashley Normandin, Kasey, Matthew, and Molly O'Keefe; and two great-grandchildren, Katherine and Brian Howard.
He was also the husband of Shirley A. (Riley) Normandin, who died in September of 1983.
